Help North High School students print and frame their photography. Students work hard to capture images around them but money isn't available to print and frame the pictures and hang them in school for everyone to enjoy. Money donated will go to get their work on the walls at North High School.
In 2018 the Minneapolis School Board granted approval to change the name of Patrick Henry High School, located in north Minneapolis with a predominantly African American student body because Patrick Henry was a slave owner.
A student lead “Change The Name” campaign started in 2018 to raise funds for this effort. A percentage of proceeds from the tournament will be dedicated to the ongoing fundraising effort.
Founded and run by long time north side award winning artist Peyton Scott Russell, SPRAYFINGER builds partnerships with artists, teachers, business owners, arts organizations, community leaders, parents, and students (youth to senior) to address and discuss culture, community, expression, and the process of graffiti writing as an artistic value. By developing curricula, outlines, and techniques that are in line with state artistic standards, and merging the language used by art teachers and the language of street art, SPRAYFINGER delivers high-quality arts instruction.
The Heritage Youth Sports Foundation encourages youth development by providing opportunities for personal and athletic growth. The Heritage Foundation promotes sportsmanship, self-esteem, and the development of life skills through engaging youth in sports while providing a safe, healthy, positive environment where the youth of our community can learn the fundamentals of sports.
